Early Direct Deposit allows you to access eligible direct deposit funds up to two business days earlier than your scheduled payday. This happens when First Heritage Federal Credit Union receives the deposit information from your employer or benefits provider ahead of the official payment date.

Employers and benefit providers often send payroll or benefit files to financial institutions in advance. When First Heritage Federal Credit Union receives that information, we may make the funds available to you before the actual settlement date instead of waiting until your scheduled payday.

No. Early Direct Deposit is not guaranteed. The timing depends entirely on when the paying organization submits the deposit file and when it is received by the credit union. Deposits may arrive early, on the scheduled payday, or occasionally later.

Eligible deposits are typically available up to two business days early, but this can vary. Some deposits may only be available one day early, and some may not be available early at all.

No. Early Direct Deposit is provided at no cost to members.

No. If you have eligible direct deposits set up to a qualifying account, Early Direct Deposit is automatic. There is no separate enrollment required.

Eligible deposits generally include: 
  • Payroll (paychecks)
  • Pension payments
  • Social Security and other recurring government benefits
  • Other recurring ACH direct deposits
Early direct deposits does not apply to:
  • Checks (including mobile deposits)
  • Person-to-person payments 
  • Wire transfers
  • ACH transfers that are not payroll or benefit related
  • One-time electronic credits 
If you do not wish to have your payroll deposited early, you can call or stop by any offices to have the service cancelled.
If a deposit is reversed by the paying organization or returned due to incorrect information, the funds will be removed from your account. 

Early availability depends on your employer or benefits provider. If they submit the file later than usual, the deposit may post on your normal payday. This does not indicate an issue with your account.

You should not rely on Early Direct Deposit timing when scheduling payments. Always confirm your available balance before making purchases or payments.

You can check your balance in digital banking or set up account alerts to notify you when deposits post.

Federal holidays and weekends may affect processing times. Deposits are only processed on business days.

All payroll deductions, like loan payments and transfers, will happen when your payroll is deposited. If you have any scheduled transfers or loan payments set for a specific date or day of the month, they will continue as planned.
